In less than a year, Sportway has established itself as the market leader for AI based production and streaming of indoor sports in Denmark. This week, an agreement with Danish Handball Federation about streaming of Danish amateur handball was reached. This means that Danish youth handball and lower tier senior leagues up to the third best league will now be accessible for fans, players, parents, and commercial partners.

With already announced deals with Danish Basketball Federation and Danish Floorball Federation from March this year, Sportway has now partnered with four major sport federations in Denmark to establish itself as the leading broadcasting company of local indoor-based amateur sports across regions and districts in Denmark.

”Our agreement with DHF (Danish Handball Federation) fits our joint ambition of making every Danish handball match available anywhere and anytime. It is part of Sportway’s DNA to be present in every market, and we are thrilled to continue building strong relationships with federations and clubs in Denmark”, states country manager in Denmark, Anders Antonsen.

It is expected that Sportway’s AI production and streaming technology will be installed in more than 500 arenas in Denmark within the next two years.

Founder and CEO of Sportway, Daniel Franck, adds: ”We have proven that our strength and insights in technology, production and media rights can deliver unprecedented value to rights holders and federations. Our journey does not stop here, as the international expansion is a top priority for us and supported by our partners and investors.”

The agreements with the federations of handball, basketball and floorball means that Sportway will actively cover four different sports in Denmark next season, as Sportway partnered with the Danish Ice Hockey Federation (DIU) before last season. This partnership has already seen 28 camera installations across arenas, numerous live broadcasts, and a growing number of paying customers on the streaming platform www.danskishockey.tv.

To support its handball clients in both Denmark and Norway Sportway is also releasing a new coaching software for handball at the start of the 2022/23 season.
